Open Letter to the Community

To the Latino Community and Organizations of Maine,

During the last year El Centro Latino Maine has made big changes to its organization. As a member of several of its committees, I have been very proud to be part of this board. One of the changes has been a transition of leadership as Blanca Santiago steps down from presidency after six years of service as President. I am honored to be elected the President of the Board for El Centro Latino Maine, and I would like to say thank you to all of the members of Centro Latino for placing their trust in me as President so as to serve towards the interests of everybody within the Latino community.

As President, I promise to work hard for this growing community; I look forward to building relationships between our organizations and the community itself to find solutions on everyday issues. Let’s build bridges to create better services, develop our culture, and continue with the good labor of our previous leaders.

On behalf of the members of the board of El Centro Latino, I want to express our promise to work for our people, and at the same time I would like to extend the invitation to every member of the community to come together for the benefit and good health of the Latino Community.

As President of El Centro Latino Maine, I wish to work with you to better opportunities for Maine’s Latino community. I can be contacted directly at 207.239.6930 or email. I look forward to the many conversations we will have and work we will do together. Juntos venceremos; together we will overcome.

Sincerely,

Roberto Rios

President
